The bigger of the two. Vegas stole Game 1 in Raleigh on Tuesday by rallying from a 2-0 deficit, with Tomas Hertl scoring the go-ahead goal with 3:24 left in the third period. That made the Golden Knights the first road team in Stanley Cup Final history to win Game 1 with a multi-goal comeback. The Hurricanes are now on home ice for a second straight night and have to find a way to slow Vegas's top six before the series moves west.
Things to watch: whether Frederik Andersen can stay sharp under the Vegas forecheck after letting in five on Tuesday, whether Carolina can keep its first-period intensity for sixty minutes instead of twenty, and whether Vegas's defensive pairings continue to produce points the way Theodore and McNabb did in Game 1.
